What is the main theme for this year's workshop?

Education, with a focus on personalized learning.

What does the three-day workshop look like?

You may refer to the tentative workshop agenda at https://ysealiedukl.info/agenda. Please note however, the program also consists of pre and post workshop sessions.

Is this a fully funded program?

Yes. Costs to be covered by the program include, airfare, visa, local ground transportation for workshop-related activities, accommodation (on twin sharing basis) and meals during the program.

Will visa costs and the necessary documents for visa application be provided?

Yes, the cost of your visa will be reimbursed upon submission of the original receipt. The Secretariat will also prepare the necessary supporting documents for your visa application upon request.

Am I able to participate in this program if I am more than 35 years old?

Unfortunately, no. This program is targeted at participants between 20 - 35 years old.

Am I eligible for this program if I am currently living, working or studying outside my home country?

Yes. It is expected that some candidates will be pursuing opportunities outside their home countries. Applicants currently living outside of Asia who hold citizenship from the listed 11 countries are eligible to apply.

However, if you are selected for the workshop, the program will only cover the cost of your air travel from the country that you are a national of to Kuala Lumpur and you will be required to cover the remaining costs on your own. For example, if you are a Thai National but currently studying in Melbourne, Australia, the program will only cover the cost of a Bangkok-Kuala Lumpur-Bangkok ticket - you will have to fund the additional cost on your own.

My passport has expired. Can I still apply?

Yes, you may still apply by entering information from your current passport. Once you obtain your new passport, you may login to the workshop website to update your passport details. Please note that you must have your new valid passport before the final selection, or your application will be disqualified.

How do I register for the workshop?

You may register online via https://ysealiedukl.info/apply-now. You will need to register, activate your account and then complete your application. If you only register and do NOT COMPLETE the application, your application will NOT be considered for selection.

When will we be notified of the final selection?
